Estcourt St opened its doors as Castaway’s creative space in August 2014 thanks to the generosity of local entrepreneur David Wilcock. With grants from Efficiency North: ENAble and Goole Fields Wind Farm Community Fund the main space is well equipped as a rehearsal and performance / audience facility with projection and lighting.
An ex-Salvation Army building, Estcourt Street offers a small and accessible arts venue, just off M62, in the centre of Goole, bringing the wider community to share and benefit from our building, welcome and location.
Estcourt St has two rooms that are ideal for meetings, events, workshops and performances and available for hire.
The main space has capacity for 50 -70 seated people (with performance area). Under current COVID-19 restrictions this is total capacity 15 – 20.
It is a multi-use space with PA system, acoustic panelling, lights, roof projection and digital keyboards. With car park, road links and rail nearby, it is an ideal facility for performances, workshops and events.
The media room has capacity for up to 20 people. Under current COVID-19 restrictions this is total capacity 6 - 8. Equipped with a roof projector, interactive whiteboard and refreshment facilities, this is an ideal space for meetings, break out and group work.
