Castaway's @youthmusicuk project, Sloop Group, have finished off the recording of their latest song which they performed at Let's Rock this January.

The group have also chosen a piece of music they like and either began to learn part of it or taken inspiration from it.

The Castaway Music Theatre group has been working hard in rehearsals for Return To The Forbidden Planet. The group have been learning the 50's and 60's Rock n Roll soundtrack as well as the Shakespearian Language and Choreography!

The show will be performed at Goole Council Chambers from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th June 2025.

The Creative Transitions group and students from Riverside school had a brilliant day visiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park today.

The Creative Transitions group and students from Riverside school had a brilliant day visiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park today.

It was a magical final curtain on Tuesday for the Multimedia group led by Anna Webb (Engine Room Theatre). At three intimate sharings of 'What the Wild Wood Remembers', audiences journeyed through a corridor of trees with projected films of fairies dancing amongst autumn leaves; then gathering for a story about how, in the depths of midwinter there is hope for renewal, that the sun will return in the spring.

Audience members described it as:

"Mesmerising, I was transported to a magical realm"

"Beautifully executed by everyone"

"Wonderful and enchanting, lovely story"

We had a lovely night at @parkway_beverley screening some of the short films our Creative Transitions group has made over the past few years. It was so good to see participants new and old along with their friends and families to share this lovely experience with us.

Castaway Music Theatre are delighted to return to Junction Goole with the musical play ALICE loosely based on the famous books 'Alice In Wonderland' and 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' by Lewis Carroll. This delightful adaptation portrays the plucky Alice accidentally finding her way into a bewildering plot, as she follows the White Rabbit from a seat in the audience! After much frustration and intriguing encounters with such popular characters as Tweedledum and Tweedledee, The Caterpillar, The Mad Hatter and The Duchess she gains entry to Wonderland itself, where her adventures include playing croquet with the volatile Queen of Hearts. A remarkable show brimming with memorable songs, delightful choreography and fabulous costumes.

The show is being performed in the round and seating is unrestricted so be early to grab the best seat in the house!
